"Dear Corinne. I know Harriet has emailed her appreciation of all you and your staff did to make our two Golden Wedding parties such a success, but I did want to add my own sincere thanks. Everything worked out so well - the food was just delicious. I think you and Harriet worked out a wonderful menu for the Saturday, and those beautiful little canapés on Friday evening were fantastic. Many congratulations to the chef. And all the girls who came to help were so sweet and so efficient, it cannot have been easy for them on the Saturday as they had to traipse in and out of the back door, down the step and round to the tent in really quiet miserable weather. We are so grateful to you all.

We have had masses of letters of thanks all mentioning the food and admiration for the lovely staff. I was so impressed by your attention to detail - even down to the loo paper and hand towels in the village hall!

Everything feels a bit flat now. Cannot imagine we shall have the energy to do the same thing for our diamond wedding - always assuming we are still around in ten years. But if we ever have a big party again I would certainly come back to Turnbulls. Thank you again for everything."

The meal was the perfect start to our "ladies weekend"; a weekend of relaxation, allowing us all to be looked after for a change - rather than the norm of us all catering for our families. The suggested menu was perfect as it was light and flavour-full, ideal for the spring (even if the weather didn't quite "play along"). Also, our "butler" for the evening was impressed as the three courses required the minimum of preparation for serving and your instructions with each course made life very easy for him. Everything ran very smoothly, Jo and Marnie set it all up beautifully and were unobtrusive in their serving and yet at the same time extremely attentive ensuring we had everything we needed at any time. The fish pie was also very warmly appreciated by all both on Friday night and again on Sunday! "Dear Corinne. We really want to thank you and your team for making it such a special occasion - as I think you know we had a French friend here who was bowled over by the whole thing, not least the elegance of the food (I think that's about as high an accolade as is possible in French!)

By Sunday lunch time we had the chance to taste everything and can truly say it was all delicious. The sauce used for the chicken (and how very good to have good sized pieces instead of mini-bites!) was just a dream... We thought your 'girls' delightful - so smiling and happy to talk to guests when and where appropriate. I totally relaxed - which might be why the timing went a bit wonky - which is unheard of usually at any large event. This is surely because there was total professionalism at work. There have been just a trickle of calls so far in thanks, but thought you would like to see these:
